1117750 03/13/2023 Surface Water Surface water samples were collected and analyzed for turbidity. The background sample was 63.9 NTU. A surface water turbidity sample collected by Central Valley Water Board staff showed an increase of 75.7 Nephelometric Turbidity Units (NTUs) between an upstream location outside of the influence of the project (i.e., ¿natural turbidity¿) and a location 300 feet downstream of the Site 1 project area, within the unnamed tributary. 1117740 02/08/2023 Unauthorized Discharge Based on Site inspections on 8 February 2023 and 10 February 2023, Central Valley Water Board staff observed the discharge of fill material into unnamed tributaries to Liza Creek; specifically, the discharge resulted from the placement of riprap, recontour of the banks, and grading of the bed and channel which was outside the permitted area or the scope of work listed in the section 401 authorization issued for emergency bank stabilization activities at the Site.
