The project will support the stabilization of over 800 feet of eroding banks along the West Fork of the Carson River, and help improve aquatic habitat along nearly 0.5 miles of river at four specific sites. The proposed 0.5 mile stretch through lower Hope Valley would be contiguous with the 2015 restoration project conducted by American Rivers. On 10 May 2019, Board issue an extension request approval letter extending project deadline to 31 December 2024, see the attached approval letter.
