1115824 02/19/2023 Unauthorized Discharge On February 19, 2023, the Discharger spilled approximately 82,246 gallons of untreated groundwater over the course of 12 hours. The treatment system lost power when the backup diesel generator ran out of fuel. The backup generator was operating since February 15 due to a power loss from the main power supply source. The malfunction set off several alarms but these were not relayed to the Discharger because the contact list wasn't programmed correctly. The Discharger discovered the spill on February 20 at 6:43AM. The spill occurred over land then reached 2 storm drain inlets north of the site. The quantity of wastewater that reached the receiving water is unknown. Receiving water observations did not confirm presence of oil sheen, fish kill or water discoloration. Violation N Report TI LOT 8 449351 R2-2017-0048 N
