Deficient BMP Implementation |
Residual metal debris was observed on sidewalks.
The surface ground of the facility’s northern wall had a large quantity of scrap materials and debris without BMPs in place. In addition, the concrete berm in this area was broken/damaged.
55-gallon metal drums containing oils were stored indoors without containment.
A concrete berm along the entire perimeter of the facility was installed to retain discharges and stormwater runoff onsite, but the concrete berm was broken and damaged in various areas of the facility, and the eastern side of the berm was not accessible during the inspection.
Two non-working heavy equipment were stored outdoors and leaking oils onto the ground without BMPs in place.
Two tote tanks containing hazardous wastes were stored outdoors by the outward sloping without covers or secondary containment.
Scrap metal/materials/used tires were stored on the ground without BMPs in place.
Oil spills were observed onsite without BMPs in place.
Multiple oil containers of various sizes were stored outdoors without covers or secondary containment.
