1119004 06/07/2023 OEV Total Coliform 10% for 30 days limit is 2 MPN/100 mL and reported value was 1600 MPN/100 mL at EFF-001. Commenced disinfection/decontamination procedures for all water quality sampling equipment. Please see attached summary for more details. Violation U eSMR
1115077 02/03/2023 DMON Enterococci sampling did not occur during the week of 1/28/2023 to 2/3/2023. Sampling for 2/3/2023 was canceled due to the treatment plant being taken off line, the treatment plant was down for longer than expected and we were not able to pull samples and get them to the lab prior to the lab closing. We sampled for enterococci on the next available day which was 2/6/2023 Enterococci sampling scheduling has been moved to earlier in the week so that if a sampling event needs to be rescheduled it will remain within the same week. Violation U eSMR
1115074 02/03/2023 DMON Enterococci sampling did not occur during the week of 1/28/2023 to 2/3/2023. 1113897 12/31/2022 DMON Both treatment plants were scheduled for inspection on 12/6/2022. However, due the high tides which causes low visibility in the outfall line for east treatment, the inspection of the east treatment outfall had to be postponed. The inspection was rescheduled for the next available time during favorable weather conditions, December 13, 2022. When our contractor attempted to preform that inspection, they determined flow was too strong and they were concerned about the camera becoming detached from the remotely operated vehicle. Based on those conditions a decision was made to reschedule. To prevent this from happening in the future we will be scheduling the outfall inspections in June annually, beginning with inspections of both outfalls in June of 2023. Violation U eSMR
1107733 07/20/2022 CAT2 Chlorine, Total Residual Other limit is 0 % and reported value was 0 % at EFF-001. Training has been provided to the employees about proper chemical handling and procedures. The monitoring equipment has also been replaced. Violation U eSMR
1093693 07/31/2021 CAT1 Total Suspended Solids (TSS) Monthly Average (Mean) limit is 13.3 mg/L and reported value was 30.6 mg/L at EFF-001. A week after the sampling in July SeaWorld contracted vender United Pumping to vacuum clean both East & West Treatment Plants of any sludge and debris. Continued effort to educate SeaWorld ambassadors of good housekeeping and environmentally friendly procedures is taking place. Old storm drain protection material is being replaced with new material. Lastly, contract vendor United Pumping is scheduled to hydro-jet SeaWorld's storm drain system and capture all water with a truck-vac to ensure no waste water goes directly to the bay or to either water treatment plants, PO attached. This practice will be scheduled on a quarterly basis moving forward. Violation B eSMR
1093694 07/14/2021 CAT1 Total Suspended Solids (TSS) Daily Maximum limit is 18.3 mg/L and reported value was 30.6 mg/L at EFF-001. 1092829 06/30/2021 CAT1 Total Suspended Solids (TSS) Monthly Average limit is 11 mg/L and reported value was 32.6 mg/L at EFF-002. Violation B Report
1092753 06/15/2021 CAT1 Total Suspended Solids (TSS) Daily Maximum limit is 16 mg/L and reported value was 32.6 mg/L at EFF-002. This TSS violation was determined to be likely caused by a gap in understanding from a high influx of new employees that need proper washing and cleaning training. The local environmental team is working on new training for all park employees that focus on storm drain awareness, education and cleaning techniques. Additionally, we will be replenishing the old storm drain protection covers with new covers to combat any illicit discharge to the storm drains. Lastly, the environmental team will continue to work and partnership with the Operations department to coach and discipline employees who stray from proper cleaning methods. Violation B eSMR
1092828 04/30/2021 CAT1 Total Suspended Solids (TSS) Monthly Average limit is 14.8 mg/L and reported value was 31.6 mg/L at EFF-001. Violation B Report
1090740 04/15/2021 CAT1 Total Suspended Solids (TSS) Daily Maximum limit is 19.8 mg/L and reported value was 36.1 mg/L at EFF-001. Retrain of Park Operations on proper washing and cleaning procedures. Audit of all park storm drains, identify which need covers. Developing new training and awareness program for cleaning pathways near storm drains. Partnership with Ops to coach and discipline deviation from current pathway cleaning SOPs Violation B eSMR
1080912 09/30/2020 OEV Total Coliform 10% for 30 days limit is 10 % and reported value was 18 % at EFF-001. Increased communication on requirements for cleaning walkways. Daily walkthroughs to ensure housekeeping and not hosing materials down the storm drains. Replacement of drain signage and covers throughout the park. In September, we opened back up areas of the park that have not been used, which was a likely factor in organic buildup. Moving forward, we should expect to see far less exceedance with our regular cleaning schedule. Violation B eSMR
1080911 09/30/2020 OEV Total Coliform 10% for 30 days limit is 10 % and reported value was 18 % at EFF-002.
1079707 08/31/2020 OEV Total Coliform 10% for 30 days limit is 10 % and reported value was 18.2 % at EFF-001. Transfer vaults and collection basins for the east treatment were inspected to ensure that there were no anomalies or other unusual operating conditions that contributed to the upset conditions. Satellite injection points were also inspected and appeared to be working correctly. Backwash basins and storm drain conveyance cleanouts were scheduled to help remove any buildup of organic matter. Other next steps are covered in our cover letter. Violation B eSMR
1079706 08/31/2020 OEV Total Coliform 10% for 30 days limit is 10 % and reported value was 27.3 % at EFF-002. Transfer vaults, collection basins and satellite injection points for the west treatment plant were inspected to ensure that there were no anomalies or unusual operation conditions that may have contributed to the higher discharge rates of particulate compared to normal operations. No adjustments were made at this time. Backwash basin and storm drain conveyance cleanouts were scheduled to help remove any buildup of organic mater. More details of next steps can be found on our cover letter attached. Violation B eSMR
1071261 01/29/2020 OEV Total Coliform 10% for 30 days limit is 10 % and reported value was 45 % at EFF-001. Many follow-up measures were taken: after all systems operating parameters checked out, further investigation found a pile of Decomposed granite had be placed on a roadway adjacent to our east storage/settling basins. A level sensor at the storage/settling basin malfunctioned and caused an overflow of water onto the DG which sent the DG to a storm drain which leads to the east treatment plant. Unfortunately, this was not identified until the upset conditions had taken place. Many follow up action items took place and are identified in our cover letter. Violation B eSMR
1071262 01/22/2020 OEV Total Coliform 10% for 30 days limit is 10 % and reported value was 18 % at EFF-002. Reviewed operating parameters at the west treatment plant appeared to indicated that all systems were functioning in accordance with design and function during the sampling period. Subsequently, treatment plant was scheduled for cleanout on Jan 28-29. SeaWorld did have 11 measurable rain events in Jan. Violation B eSMR
