1. To prevent a future pH excursion there is a manually operated valve downstream of the failed valve and the new procedure requires that valve be kept closed at all times except when the neutralization tank is to be emptied.
2. The failed valve will be replaced with a valve that fails closed.
3. Valve position feedback will be added when the replacement valve is installed.
