Failure to Notify |
Bear Valley MHP did not notify Lahontan Water Board staff of a discharge that was discovered on December 1, 2021. This violates Board Order No. 6-84-58 Section II.3. |
Alpha Omega was contracted by the Bear Valley MHP to conduct an investigation for the cause of the spill and to clean-up the impacted area. During their initial investigation, they took photos of the impacted area and determined the cause of the spill was due to faulty pit valves and the rate and volume of the spill was small. The pit valves were replaced and the spill was contained. Sofia Cambell scheduled Alpha Omega to complete the clean-up of the spill and also remove overgrown weeds in the area on Saturday, December 4, 2021. I (John Yu) provided instructions in a December 7, 2021 email on how to report future spills to Sofia Cambell who is the on-site manager. |
