Deficient BMP Implementation |
Sediment was present on San Bernardino Avenue, Capri Avenue, and along curbing throughout the project;
Trash was present on the ground in numerous locations throughout the project site, including overflow from trash containers;
Lids for all trash containers were not being used on a daily basis;
Stockpiled waste material and debris onsite were not utilizing BMPs;
Staining was present underneath numerous vehicles onsite;
Leaks from machinery had not been immediately cleaned;
Vehicles driving over soil stirred up large amounts of dust into the air;
No perimeter BMPs were in use onsite in accordance with the site plan, which depicts silt fence around the perimeter of the entire project area;
Tire tracks of sediment were present leading to/from the site onto the roadways;
Construction vehicles were using gaps in chain link fencing to access the site instead of utilizing a stabilized construction entrance;
Storm drain inlets did not have BMPs installed;
Sediment was present on roadways surrounding the site, as well as roadways constructed as part of the project;
Inspection reports failed to identify when the site had a discharge; and,
No sampling report data was available for review onsite, nor were sampling results uploaded to SMARTS. |
