Per Section IV.A.1 of the MRP, various constituents are required to be analyzed in the discharge on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis. Groundwater dewatering was conducted intermittently on April 16 and 17 to support pile installation activities. Laboratory staff were not notified that the dewatering discharge was occurring, and a sample was not collected during discharge. Dewatering activities ceased on April 17, and no additional discharge occurred for the remainder of the quarterly monitoring period. Consequently, sample collection and analysis of the required monthly and quarterly constituents could not be completed for this monitoring period. To prevent recurrence, project staff will notify laboratory and compliance staff before future dewatering begins and confirm that the required sampling arrangements are in place before discharge occurs. |
