1065826 09/30/2019 DMON Did not conduct quarterly sampling of Irrigation Well IW-1 due to dedicated pump failure. Violates Board Order No. R6T-2016-0034, MRP II.D.3. The Discharger is taking steps to repair or replace the inoperable dedicated sampling pump and to begin sampling the well again in October 2019. Violation B Report
1065828 09/30/2019 CAT1 Nitrogen, Total (as N) Other limit is 10 ml/L and reported value was 30.6 ml/L. The Discharger corrected the software error and improperly functioning pump. Effluent total nitrogen concentrations have since been steadily declining from a high of 55.5 mg/L (July) to 12.2 mg/L (September), and are expected to return to the system's normal effluent total nitrogen range of 1 - 4 mg/L. Violation B Report
1068171 09/26/2019 GWAT Exceeded MCL for nitrate as nitrogen (10 mg/L) in the facility''s two downgradient monitoring wells during the third quarter of 2019. Exceeding MCL is legacy of former onsite wastewater treatment system discharge. Violated Board Order No. R6T-2016-0034, WDR I.B.2. In 2018, the Discharger began operating a new onsite wastewater treatment system that discharges to an onsite leachfield. The new treatment facility typically discharges effluent with a total nitrogen concentration between 1 mg/L and 4 mg/L. It is anticipated the improved effluent quality will reduce groundwater nitrate concentrations downgradient of the facility to below the MCL. Violation B Report
