1133467 06/08/2024 SSOS Type: Category 1 Spill; Collection System Maintenance Failure (specify below), Root Intrusion caused 25904 gallons of sewage to spill from Lateral Clean Out (Private) at Yosemite West CS to Drainage Conveyance System that discharges to surface water, Unpaved Surface Repaired Facilities or Replaced Defect. We removed and replaced 14ft. of 6in. sewer main that had clogged due to root intrusion and a large amount of grit and rocks that had accumulated. We have sampled the stream both up and downstream and are awaiting results. Although there is no public access in the area, we have also cordoned off the spill area to limit any possible access while we perform disinfection, cleanup activities. Violation A SSO
