Plan Rehabilitation or Replacement of Sewer,Inspected Sewer Using CCTV to Determine Cause,Adjusted Schedule/Method of Preventive Maintenance. To prevent this spill from happening again, we TV'd this section of line to try to better understand the condition. Although it was difficult with daytime traffic and rain showers, we found the line is structurally sound but in fairly rough shape with root intrusion at multiple joints. We jettted the line again to clear all the roots out, giving us time to create a plan. We are planning to work a night shift in the near future to avoid traffic so we can get back out there and get some really good camera footage on the line to help us determine whether we should install pipe patches, install a CIPP liner or fully replace the line. |

Repaired Facilities or Replaced Defect,Inspected Sewer Using CCTV to Determine Cause. We completed a confined space entry to trim edges of the pipe downstream to assure no rags catch on the pipe. We are also going to be sending out a robo-call to all customers that are connected to this line, reminding them what they can and cannot flush into the sewer system. I installed a large nail at the top of the manhole and wrapped the locating wire around it to be sure the wire will not fall again. |

I believe this was a fluke occurrence because the condition of both the manhole and the line seem to be in good shape but we will be opening and visually inspecting this manhole quarterly from now on to prevent any future SSO's.. |
