The District is engaging with a specialized engineering consultant to conduct a technical review of the forcemain failure mode, including root causes and contributing factors. A comprehensive, internal review of operational conditions is also occurring. As a result of both these reviews, the District will identify any appropriate corrective and preventive actions to effectively reduce, eliminate, and/or prevent the potential for a recurrence of the SSO event. The information from both of these efforts will be reported to the Regional Water Board as part of future Spill Report submittals. |

Other (specify below). The contractor secured the discharge piping to the pavement with anchors, and they weighted the piping with a large concrete block. The third standby pump was locked out so it could not be called to run automatically. A containment berm was added in front of the storm catch basin so that a future spill could not enter the stormwater system. |
