1119563 07/01/2023 DMON ¿ The weekly minimum sampling required for effluent BOD (3/week) was not met for the week ending July 1. The City of Woodland collected four effluent composites June 26th through 29th and sent them to a subcontracted lab to be analyzed for BOD, but the subcontracting lab failed to analyze two of the samples within hold time (samples from June 27th and 29th). The City was not notified within the same week and could not resample. The City is working with the subcontracting lab to prevent this from happening again Violation B eSMR

However, there was an oversight in scheduling acute toxicity testing during Fourth Quarter 2021 due to the Toxicity Reduction Evaluation (TRE) monitoring schedule. On August 16, 2019, a Total Coliform sample was collected from the non-operational UV channel. This resulted in the Total Coliform result for August 16, 2019, being unrepresentative of the effluent discharge. As such, this result is not provided in the data upload to CIWQS for this reporting period and a representative sample from UVS-002 was not tested for this date, as required by the NPDES permit. Calculations of the 7-day median for Total Coliform do not include data from August 16, 2019. laboratory and operations staff will be retrained on proper sample collection from the UV disinfection system.
