The Discharger suspects lag GAC vessels were replaced with contaminated media on 7-11-19, after which the system remained shutdown through the end of July 2019 due to unscheduled maintenance. The Discharger resumed discharge in August and monitored the treatment system on August 28, 2019. The Discharger will replace the GAC media in all vessels on 9-27-19 with virgin coconut GAC. Certificate of analysis will be required for all GAC media changeouts to avoid similar events. GAC changeouts will be done jointly with scheduled monitoring events. |
