Chronic Toxicity-C.dubia-Reproduction Monthly Median limit is 0 Pass/Fail (Pass = 0, Fail = 1) and reported value was 1 Pass/Fail (Pass = 0, Fail = 1) at M-004. |
To mitigate the risk of contamination, operations staff cleaned all three tertiary filter banks, increased the frequency of filter backwashes, cleaned the composite sampler equipment, and rinsed sample bottles prior to sampling. The IEUA Laboratory TIE process resulted in nothing to note as organophosphates were absent. The completion of a permanent cover over the dichlorination zone is anticipated over the next couple months with the intent that the cover will aid in mitigating against any potential algae buildup in the dechlorination zone. The IEUA Toxicity Task Force will continue to work with Nautilus to assist in the investigation as we continue to work together to eliminate the toxicity issue. |

Chronic Toxicity-C.dubia-Reproduction Monthly Median limit is 0 Pass/Fail (Pass = 0, Fail = 1) and reported value was 1 Pass/Fail (Pass = 0, Fail = 1) at M-004. |
Operations staff have conducted shock chlorination in the dechlorination zone, cleaned the effluent composite sampler, and performed maintenance on the filter influent channel. They continue to uphold proper sampling techniques, including rinsing sample bottles to prevent contamination. A temporary cover remains in place over the dechlorination zone to help mitigate potential algae buildup.
Meanwhile, the IEUA Laboratory is actively conducting a Toxicity Identification Evaluation (TIE) to determine the specific causes of toxicity. In support of this effort, the IEUA Toxicity Task Force is in the process of onboarding Nautilus, a specialized toxicity consulting and laboratory firm, to assist in the investigation. Together, these efforts aim to identify and eliminate the source of toxicity. |

Chronic Toxicity-C.dubia-Reproduction Monthly Median limit is 0 Pass/Fail (Pass = 0, Fail = 1) and reported value was 1 Pass/Fail (Pass = 0, Fail = 1) at M-004. |
Operations staff will initiate dechlorination zone cleaning by flushing, draining, bleaching, and scrubbing the entire structure prior to future testing. Operations will ensure proper sampling techniques. Due to the possibility of bad batches of sample bottles, sample bottles will be triple rinsed to ensure there are no contaminants present. Operations staff constructed a temporary cover over the dechlorination zone with the intent that the cover will aid in mitigating any potential algae buildup in the dechlorination zone. IEUA Laboratory will begin the TIE to pinpoint the specific causes of toxicity. The IEUA Toxicity Task Force will continue to evaluate the toxicity test results closely for the next few months while working to eliminate the toxicity issue. |

Total Coliform Daily Maximum limit is 240 MPN/100 mL and reported value was 980.4 MPN/100 mL at M-004. |
IEUA staff concluded that the high coliform value may have been caused by two deceased birds that were found inside the chlorine contact basin. These deceased birds were removed from the basin the following day. |
