Enterococci sampling did not occur during the week of 1/28/2023 to 2/3/2023. Sampling for 2/3/2023 was canceled due to the treatment plant being taken off line, the treatment plant was down for longer than expected and we were not able to pull samples and get them to the lab prior to the lab closing. We sampled for enterococci on the next available day which was 2/6/2023 |
Enterococci sampling scheduling has been moved to earlier in the week so that if a sampling event needs to be rescheduled it will remain within the same week. |

Both treatment plants were scheduled for inspection on 12/6/2022. However, due the high tides which causes low visibility in the outfall line for east treatment, the inspection of the east treatment outfall had to be postponed. The inspection was rescheduled for the next available time during favorable weather conditions, December 13, 2022. When our contractor attempted to preform that inspection, they determined flow was too strong and they were concerned about the camera becoming detached from the remotely operated vehicle. Based on those conditions a decision was made to reschedule. |
To prevent this from happening in the future we will be scheduling the outfall inspections in June annually, beginning with inspections of both outfalls in June of 2023. |

Total Suspended Solids (TSS) Monthly Average (Mean) limit is 13.3 mg/L and reported value was 30.6 mg/L at EFF-001. |
A week after the sampling in July SeaWorld contracted vender United Pumping to vacuum clean both East & West Treatment Plants of any sludge and debris. Continued effort to educate SeaWorld ambassadors of good housekeeping and environmentally friendly procedures is taking place. Old storm drain protection material is being replaced with new material. Lastly, contract vendor United Pumping is scheduled to hydro-jet SeaWorld's storm drain system and capture all water with a truck-vac to ensure no waste water goes directly to the bay or to either water treatment plants, PO attached. This practice will be scheduled on a quarterly basis moving forward. |

Total Suspended Solids (TSS) Daily Maximum limit is 16 mg/L and reported value was 32.6 mg/L at EFF-002. |
This TSS violation was determined to be likely caused by a gap in understanding from a high influx of new employees that need proper washing and cleaning training. The local environmental team is working on new training for all park employees that focus on storm drain awareness, education and cleaning techniques. Additionally, we will be replenishing the old storm drain protection covers with new covers to combat any illicit discharge to the storm drains. Lastly, the environmental team will continue to work and partnership with the Operations department to coach and discipline employees who stray from proper cleaning methods. |

Total Coliform 10% for 30 days limit is 10 % and reported value was 18 % at EFF-001. |
Increased communication on requirements for cleaning walkways. Daily walkthroughs to ensure housekeeping and not hosing materials down the storm drains. Replacement of drain signage and covers throughout the park. In September, we opened back up areas of the park that have not been used, which was a likely factor in organic buildup. Moving forward, we should expect to see far less exceedance with our regular cleaning schedule. |
