Total Suspended Solids (TSS) Daily Maximum limit is 20 mg/L and reported value was 25 mg/L at EFF-001. |
We have reviewed site operations and have not identified any changes or unusual operational events. The TSS exceedance appears to be related to the same series of storm events driving high receiving water turbidity. We are conducting follow up sampling to assess whether solids in onsite ponds have settled out. |

Total Suspended Solids (TSS) Monthly Average limit is 10 mg/L and reported value was 13 mg/L at EFF-001. |
The Site has not discharged since 8/31/2021 due to facility water needs. When facility discharge re-initiates, TSS values will be sampled and monitored for permit compliance. Review of historical site TSS data and current turbidity data do not indicate a chronic problem with TSS. No discoloration was noted at the time of sample collection. |

DMON |
Site flow meter was recognized to malfunction during the January annual sampling event and continuous discharge from the Site was discontinued. Flow meter was replaced and discharge recommenced on Wednesday March 3, 2021 but additional damage was identified and discharge was shut down on Tuesday March 9, 2021, before notification to the sampling team, so no sampling event was organized. |
Flow meter has now been repaired again. Discharge recommenced in April and April's monthly sampling event has occurred. |

Order Conditions |
Chronic Toxicity Test for Green Algae indicated reduced growth in the effluent sample (though still within the range of 'normal' growth) vs. the laboratory control sample, so the test result was considered toxic. This sample was collected on 2/1/2021 during a brief period of discharge initiated to collect a sample, after two weeks of no discharge. Chronic toxicity is not included in the list of either Group I or Group II pollutants, but is governed by other permit conditions. Per consultation with the RWQCB, this result is being listed as an Order Conditions violation. |
Per permit conditions, discharger has initiated accelerated monitoring for chronic toxicity (first sample collected 4/27/2021). Discharger will collect 4 accelerated monitoring samples to assess Green Algae chronic toxicity. Per consultation with the Regional Board, initiation of the accelerated monitoring was held until the Site entered a period of continuous discharge again, rather than activating the discharge only to collect a sample. |
