Contacted state liaison as soon as the lab notified us, started accelerated monitoring, added cl2 to spay water to break up foam layer, added polymer to MLSS to try to get filaments back into solution. We tried HTH to see if that would help but it didn't seem to help. |

Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) (5-day @ 20 Deg. C) Weekly Average limit is 45 mg/L and reported value was 75.57 mg/L at EFF-001. |
We put an additional secondary on line to increase buffering capacity of the high flow to help. I have also discussed turning the air of during high storm flows with our permit liaison, so long as we maintain DO parameters this is another option if we are faced with the same situation. We had to switch to the older basins as we need more buffering volume due to high influent BOD's from previous months. |

We started chemically enhanced treatment of the secondary , put the other secondary on line, started shutting off flows during the day to take the peak flows off with the hope that things would settle better with a more consistent flow. Started accelerated sampling of BOD, we hadn't gotten the high number on the TSS till the end of the month. |
