For RSW-A Entero samples obtained on 2/13/2024 and 2/22/2024 there was a violation of the 30-day Geo Mean. Neither of those samples exceeded the single sample maximum; furthermore, the results for the sample obtained on 2/26/2024 brought us back into compliance. M1W staff believes the exceedances were a result of a plume from the Salinas River following storm events that preceded with our ocean sampling events. |
Resampled 2/22/2023 and 2/26/2024 to brin g30-Day Geo Mean in compliance. |

Heptachlor Monthly Average limit is 0.00005 ug/L and reported value was .000171 ug/L at EFF-001B. *** MMP Exempt Reason:Recorded value is above the effluent limitation but is below the Ocean Plan RL of 0.01 ug/L for heptachlor. Therefore, the discharger is not subject to MMP's for this sample result. |
Constituents were sampled in March and results are pending. |

Enterococci Single Sample Maximum limit is 104 MPN/100 mL and reported value was 288 MPN/100 mL at RSW-D. |
Results from the Monterey County Beach Monitoring website showed 3 recent Enterococcus exceedances at 3 different locations and another local entity experienced similar results at one of their ocean sampling sites, indicating a widespread bloom in the Monterey Bay that is probably not linked to WWTP discharges. For the month of August, M1W has captured on average 99.2% of our daily secondary effluent and sent it to our advanced water purification facility and our tertiary treatment plant, further supporting the natural bloom theory. Subsequent resampling results were all less than the detection limit, ultimately bringing the 30-day geometric mean below the limit of 35 MPN/100 mL. |
