Settleable Solids Monthly Average limit is 1.0 ml/L and reported value was 2.5 ml/L at M-001A. |
Based on our observations of the settleometer, nitrate levels and MLSS concentration, staff increased wasting and lowered the dissolved oxygen setpoints on the aeration basins. Staff starting dosing Bleach to the return activated sludge to reduce filamentous reproduction on January 22 which was also contributing to poor sludge compaction in the secondary sedimentation basins. To prevent this situation from happening in the future, staff will reduce the amount of aeration basins and secondary sedimentation tanks in service to reduce sludge detention time it the activated sludge process. This will reduce bulking in the secondary sedimentation basins. |

For JBL M-001A, The continuous meter measuring Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) was online the entire month, however due to a contractor error when transitioning to a new SCADA server, data for 9/18/25-9/23/25 is not available for reporting. Once the error was noticed, data recovery was attempted from the sensors controller however the unit only saves data for about 2 weeks due to memory limitations. |
Better communication will be implemented between SCADA services and the compliance department for backing up data when any major SCADA projects could affect retention. The controllers will also be reconfigured to record data less frequently but for a longer period of time to retain data for at least 2 months on the controller units |
