1119114 10/20/2022 UAUTHDISC On October 20, 2022, a mower struck and broke a three-inch riser obscured by vegetation located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Avenue D and Sierra Highway causing an unauthorized discharge at the Plant. The discharge consisted of approximately 409,500 gallons of tertiary treated recycled water from the broken pipe to an unauthorized location. The District constructed berms to contain the spill from exiting the property, however, approximately 500 gallons of recycled water did travel beyond the property boundary to a roadside drainage ditch. The District recovered 55,000 gallons of the spill by vacuum trucks and approximately 354,000 gallons of recycled water either evaporated or infiltrated into the ground. Violation B Complaint
