We are working with the testing contractor to limit testing to one analyst to exclude counting bias. Continuing to review ongoing operational activity for anything out of the ordinary. Sea Urchin Development testing was run concurrently with this sample and the results were 1.0 TUc - a passing test. This marks the second month in a row that fertilization failed but development passed. |

A review of the previous 3 months test results indicated that a total of nine different technicians were involved in the testing and reporting of these samples. LADWP is requesting that the lab assign a single technician to perform the testing to remove different counters from the equation. The las test that passed had all of the samples counted by the same technician. The failing tests used different technicians on different parts of the test and for each sample. We will see if results improve with a single point of reference for the testing. |
