1125307 10/18/2023 CAT2 Zinc, Total Recoverable Monthly Average (Mean) limit is 47 ug/L and reported value was 83 ug/L. To better evaluate the sampling process and sample transport activities, Haley & Aldrich has completed/plans to complete the following: - Additional confirmation of the initial sampling results by Level IV data package review and reanalysis of the initial samples. - Split sampling using two different labs - Analysis of an influent sample for dissolved zinc in addition to total recoverable zinc - Source evaluation within the treatment system and extraction wells - Statistical analysis of historical analytical data - Mitigation/maintenance or additional treatment (e.g., filtration), if necessary. The discharger is also states they are investigating potential causes of the exceedance and sources of zinc to select the appropriate corrective actions. Violation B Report
1125131 10/03/2023 CAT2 Zinc, Total Recoverable Maximum Daily (MDEL) limit is 95 ug/L and reported value was 120 ug/L. 1111210 09/27/2022 LREP Total xylene effluent limit violation occurred on 9-7-22. The Discharger became aware of the violation on 9-20-22 and did not report the violation to the Regional Water Board until 9-27-22. The 5-day report would have been due on 9-25-22, instead it was submitted on 11-11-22, upon request by the Regional Water Board. Discharger was reminded of requirement via phone call. Violation B Report
1111208 09/20/2022 Failure to Notify Total xylene effluent limit violation occurred on 9-7-22. The Discharger became aware of the violation on 9-20-22 and did not report the violation to the Regional Water Board until 9-27-22. The requirement is to report within 24 hours. Discharger was reminded of requirement via phone call. Violation B Report
1111202 09/07/2022 CAT2 Xylenes, Total Maximum Daily (MDEL) limit is 0.5 ug/L and reported value was 1.1 ug/L. The discharger will enhance its treatment system field quality assurance and quality control program for monitoring as there has been several trace detections of xylenes in past samples (not for this one). The trip blank for this event did not have detections of xylenes. The discharger will ask its lab to analyze trip blanks immediately before its other samples to observe potential contamination. Blind equipment blanks will be collected and analyzed on a monthly basis to evaluate potential introduction of VOCs during sampling activities. The discharger will also review alternative laboratories that have just as sensitive analytical methods. Violation B Report
