Discharger states that once the violation was noticed, samples were retaken and GETS was shutdown. GETS resumed operation once Zinc results were received with no violations. The discharger states there will be routine sampling at the mid-point of the two GAC treatment vessels at the GETS are performed to help ensure the GAC is replaced in a timely manner to prevent effluent exceedances. 1096147 10/12/2021 Failure to Notify Discharger failed to report within 24 hours of becoming aware of permit violation Verbal notification - On 10/18/21 Water Board staff mentioned the violation to the discharger's consultant who reported the effluent limit exceedance on that date via phone. 1096149 09/28/2021 CAT2 Toluene Maximum Daily (MDEL) limit is 0.5 ug/L and reported value was 1.5 ug/L. The discharger did not identify a specific source of toluene and it isn't a constituent of concern at the site. To avoid potential false detections, the discharger will collect trip blanks along with effluent samples when performing monitoring events. The discharger also collects mid-point monitoring samples between GAC vessel to determine media replacement and prevent effluent limit exceedances. Violation B Report
