This water right was originally used for mining by prior owner. Water is now used to treat acid waste discharge from mine adits. The water flows from the adits into passive, anaerobic treatment ponds where the heavy metals precipitate out and clean water is discharged to land. Process is pursuant to permitting by State of California. No logging has occurred on company lands at this ownership, so no water was used for dust abatement. |
