Fish and Wildlife Preservation and Enhancement Fish and other aquatice species
Irrigated Crops
Multiple Crops Area Irrigated (Acres) Primary Irrigation Method
Landscape Yes 10 Sprinkler
Pasture No 150 Sprinkler
4. Changes in Method of Diversion
None. In mid-summer 2017 measurement devices installed at regulated outlet gate of Silver Lake to measure water flow on an hourly basis. Data to be collected monthly as needed and stored for later access by water board or other interested parties. As there is no complete record of water flows during 2017, estimates of total useage are shown in this report. Access to the monitoring device is impossible in winter due to snow, but the gate at dam is closed during that period anyway, so no water flow to measure.

Type of Diversion Both Direct Diversion and Diversion to Storage
Comments The water right is 1,200 acre feet. Amounts shown for diversion to storage are estimated, as little to no flows occur through the measuring devices installed at the dam gate during winter. During winter months the water in the pipeline is mainly static, used only for fire protection (hydrants). Excess water flows down Silver Creek and provides habitat for fish and other aquatic species, plus other wildlife.
