THIS STOCKPOND IS FILLED FROM A SPRING THAT RISES ON OUR PROPERTY, THE WATER GOES IN THE POND AND RIGHT BACK DOWN THE WATER COURSE. THE POND IS USED FOR LIVESTOCK, WILDLIFE, RECREATION AND WAS USED BY THE UNITED STATES FORESTRY A COUPLE SUMMERS AGO TO HELP WITH HUGES FIRES THAT SURROUNDED THE AREA. THIS IS THE ONLY WATER SOURCE IN A VERY LARGE AREA. THE SAMLL POND HAS ABOUT 1/4 ACRE SURFACE AND HOLDS LESS THAT AN ACRE FOOT OF WATER. I WOULD CONSIDER THE USE TO BE NONCONSUMPTIVE WITH THE WATER GOING IN AND RIGHT BACK OUT. I TALKED TO SANDRA WITH THE DIV OF WATER RIGHTS IN 2014 AND ASKED IF I HAD TO FILE A REPORT, SHE SAID NO. I REAFFIRMED WITH PAUL WELLS IN 2015 AND HE SAID NO. |
