Additional Remarks
This water right dates back to the early 1950's when the diversion dam was installed for supplying domestic water and water for a mill pond at the CalVada mill site in Greenville, CA. After the mill shut down water continued on and off to flow into the mill pond, until that use was curtailed several years ago. During the past several years the water stored behind the diversion dam was used for dust control and allowed to flow downstream for other beneficial uses of water; primarily wildlife. A recent "rain-on-snow" event has washed out a portion of the dam, which now allows water to flow straight through the diversion point. No effort has been made to restore the dam in 2014 due to water shortages.
