Conservation of Water |
11. Are you now employing water conservation efforts? |
Yes
Description of water conservation efforts |
The objective of the District is to maximize the beneficial use of water by implementing numerous water conservation efforts throughout their service area. These conservation efforts result in reduced diversions from the Sacramento River due to improved operational practices, canal lining and maximum reuse of tailwater. The extent of beneficial use is still in the process of being established; and therefore, the quantity of water conserved under this right has not been determined at this time
12. Amount of water conserved |
Water Quality and Wastewater Reclamation |
13. During the period covered by this Report, did you use reclaimed water
from a wastewater treatment facility, water from a desalination facility,
or water polluted by waste to a degree which unreasonably affects the
water for other beneficial uses?
No
14. Amount of reclaimed, desalinated, or polluted water used |
Conjuctive Use of Groundwater and Surface Water |
15. During the period covered by this Report, were you using groundwater
in lieu of available surface water authorized under your permit?
No
16. Amounts of groundwater used |
Additional Remarks |
The place of use identified in the Permit also receives water under the Districts riparian and Pre-1914 water right claims reported under Statements of Diversion and Use Nos. 20641, 20645, 20649, 20653, 20657, 20661, 20712, and 20716.
The District prepared and submitted a Water Diversion and Use Monitoring Plan (Plan) pursuant to Term 16 of the Permit on October 17, 2011. The District is currently proceeding with the Plan and the measurement methodology identified in the Plan. Diversions under this Permit were limited in 2014 due to the drought and curtailments by the SWRCB. Due to the limited diversions under this Permit and limited available data an estimate of the amount of water consumptively and non-consumptively used is not included in this Report.
