Conservation of Water
8. Are you now employing water conservation efforts? Yes
Description of water conservation efforts Optimum water conservation efforts are ongoing and include, but are not limited to good water management and farming practices such as, re-circulation system, varietal changes and laser leveling of fields. Conservation measures also include recapture and reuse of an undetermined quantity of tailwater originating from both surface and groundwater sources. In addition, Murphy Lake Farms has installed approximately 12,240 feet of pipelines, to replace unlined canals within the place of use covered by Licenses 6399, 6389D3, and 7064C, which have resulted in reduced seepage losses and an undetermined reduction in surface water diversions. Estimated quantity of conserved water is based on the difference between the quantity authorized under appropriative water License 7064C and the total diversions for 2011.
9. Amount of water conserved 1349 Acre-Feet
Water Quality and Wastewater Reclamation
10. During the period covered by this Report, did you use reclaimed water from a wastewater treatment facility, water from a desalination facility, or water polluted by waste to a degree which unreasonably affects the water for other beneficial uses?

Conjuctive Use of Groundwater and Surface Water
12. During the period covered by this Report, were you using groundwater in lieu of available surface water authorized under your license? Yes
13. Amounts of groundwater used 0 Acre-Feet
Additional Remarks
Purpose of Use: The acreage identified is the total acreage irrigated in 2011 under this License and License 6389D3. The water supply is also supplemented by Contract No. 14-06-200-5520A-R-1 between the Pleasant Grove-Verona Mutual Water Company and the USBR and an undetermined quantity of groundwater and recirculated tailwater. Quantity of Water Diverted: The quantities are estimated based on USBR's Farm Delivery Requirement (FDR) method. The FDR method provides an estimate of the quantity of water necessary to meet the crop consumptive use and leaching requirements and uses an assumed on-farm irrigation efficiency developed by USBR. The quantities also include an estimate of conveyance system losses.
