Description of water conservation efforts The District has worked with landowners and farmers within the places of use of these licenses to implement good water management and good farming practices including but not limited to laser leveling of fields, varietal changes, and crop shifts. In addition, the district operates an extensive tail water recovery and re-circulation system and has implemented strict policies limiting spills from fields during the irrigation season. The District also has a USBR approved water conservation plan. The quantity of water conserved through the actions taken by individual landowners and farmers has not been determined. The quantity of conserved water shown below is the total quantity of water re-circulated for re-delivery within the places of use.
