Conservation of Water
8. Are you now employing water conservation efforts? Yes
Description of water conservation efforts Optimum water conservation efforts are ongoing and include, but are not limited to good water management and farming practices such as, re-circulation system, varietal changes and laser leveling of fields. Conservation measures also include recapture and reuse of an undetermined quantity of tailwater originating from both surface and groundwater sources. In addition, Murphy Lake Farms has installed approximately 12,240 feet of pipelines, to replace unlined canals within the place of use covered by Licenses 6399, 6389D3, and 7064C, which have resulted in reduced seepage losses and an undetermined reduction in surface water diversions. Estimated quantity of conserved water is based on the difference between the quantity authorized under appropriative water License 6399 and the total diversions for 2013.
9. Amount of water conserved 165.6 Acre-Feet
Water Quality and Wastewater Reclamation
10. During the period covered by this Report, did you use reclaimed water from a wastewater treatment facility, water from a desalination facility, or water polluted by waste to a degree which unreasonably affects the water for other beneficial uses? No

Additional Remarks
Purpose of Use: The water supply to these lands is also supplemented by Contract No. 14-06-200-5520A-R-1 between the Pleasant Grove-Verona Mutual Water Company and the USBR and an undetermined quantity of groundwater and recirculated tailwater. Quantity of Water Diverted: The quantities are estimated based on the crops grown in 2013, CIMIS evapotranspiration and precipitation, data and crop water use developed by the Cal Poly Irrigation Training and Research Center (ITRC). The quantities also include an estimate of conveyance system losses.
