8. Conservation of Water
a. Are you now employing water conservation efforts? Yes
Describe any water conservation efforts you have initiated All homes are now metered. A new Pricing Model began on Oct. 21st, 2016, charging a - Base Fee of $180 per month, plus a: - Consumption Fee: $.01 per gallon up to 200 gallons per day average, and a - Consumption Fee: $.02 per gallon over 200 gallons per day average as a financial incentive to conserve water. This replaced the former flat fee of $200 per month. Community members were asked to conserve water through short showers, use of gray water, and no watering of lawns. Information on water-saving ideas was given out at our Annual Members meeting, emailed to members, and posted on our community website. Status of water supply is posted at entrance to our community and also posted on our community website.
